Corsets and the Movies

The corset fell from fashion grace in the 1920s in Europe and America, replaced by girdles and underwired bras, but thankfully survived as an article of sexy lingerie. Now the corset has become a popular item of outerwear in the fetish, BDSM and goth cultures.

In the fetish and BDSM literature, there is often much emphasis on tightlacing. In this case, the corset may still be underwear rather than outerwear.

There was a brief revival of the corset in the late 1940s and early 1950s, in the form of the waist cincher sometimes called a "waspie". This was used to give the hourglass figure dictated by modern fashion designers. However, use of the waist cincher was restricted to haute couture, and most women continued to use super not sexy girdles.

Since the late 1980s, the corset has experienced periodic revivals, these revivals focus on the corset as an item of outerwear rather than underwear. The strongest of these revivals was seen in 2001 and 2002 fashion collections and coincided with the release of the film Moulin Rouge, the costumes for which featured many corsets as characteristic of the era.

Similarly, other films have used these garments as costume features, generally to suggest a period effect, as in Van Helsing, where Anna Valerious wears an underbust corset as part of her costume. Sometimes this is used for humorous purposes, as when Elizabeth Swann almost suffocates from wearing a tight corset in Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl. One distinctive feature has been to portray them in combination with catsuits, as in Star Trek: Voyager where Seven of Nine throughout the series wears catsuits with contained built-in corsets, or Underworld, where Selene wears a black leather corset over matching latex catsuit.

Today many sexy lingerie manufacturers still carry corset ranges. The sexy corset designs that spring to mind from Coquette, Dreamgirl, Shirleys Of Hollywood all have their own distinct styles and can be worn as either lingerie or outerwear

Tips For Buying the Right Lingerie For Your Wedding

Many brides concentrate on the wedding dress and forget about the lingerie that can enhance them. All attention is on the clothing that appears to the outside world but experience has shown that the right lingerie can accentuate the beauty of the bridal dress and enhance the beauty of the wearer too. We put together some few tips to get your lingerie right on your wedding day.

The lingerie is supposed to cover up any undesirable features associated with your body type and at the same time boost any assets you may already have.

Many brides have been let down by their bra. They may have been too small or too big for their dress. In many instances, and excusably, many brides assume that the measurement they use for their everyday clothing holds true in wedding dresses but it is not so. The wedding dress is supposed to be a flamboyant piece of clothing that will flatter your body and make it appear superb to wedding guests. It is therefore crucial that you talk with your bridal consultant or shop owner about which bra size you need to enhance you appearance.

One lingerie that brides with small bosoms may find useful is the push up bra. This accessory has the effect of giving you the bigger bosom which you may critically need to enhance the look of the bridal dress type you chose. If you have small backs you may try adjustable briefs to give it a heavy look. Any imperfections associated with your general appearance can be compensated for with body shapers which come in various sizes and designs.

For brides who wear lace, you would realize that it is very uncomfortable if it rubs against the skin. You may need to specially designed liners to serve as a buffer between the fabric and your skin. Remember, you would be wearing the gown for almost the whole day and cannot bear that itch for that long.

Icing on the Cake - Lingerie Accessories - Part 6 - Bridal Garter Belts

With impending nuptials, what is more fun for a bride than dressing up for the big day? Part of the fun is wearing clothes that you've only dreamed about or that you secretly know are under your gown. A luxuriously sultry, sweet, or sassy garter belt can make you feel sexy and put a little twinkle in your eye as you walk down the isle or dance all night.

There are many garter belts (or "suspender belts" as they're known in Europe) to choose with four or six clasps and prices ranging from around $15 to over $300. Only you knows what works best for you. Lingeristas who have worn six clasps garters for a while tend to find them awkward at first, but end up liking them best based upon comfort and the added ability to hold stockings in place.

A garter priced around $15 is more affordable, but more expensive belts will have additional embellishments and supple material. If you order online, be sure to read the comments that previous users have left about the product, they can be an invaluable source of advice since you are unable to see the product in person.

Garter belts are recommended for A-Line, Empire Waists, Babydoll, Basque Waist, Natural Waist and Princess gowns. Be cautious about wearing a garter belt with Sheath, Biased-Cut, Trumpet, and Mermaid gowns. You may be able to get away with a garter on some of those styles if the garter lacks embellishment, the material is virtually seamless, or where lace doesn't pucker from the garter. To get a better idea on the type of gowns above, log into http://www.theknot.com and click on their gown section so that you can see wedding dress styles.

It's your day. Dress how you want and in what makes you feel good about yourself. If having a garter belt makes you feel fabulous than go for it! It may just be something that you want to incorporate in your everyday life after the wedding. Rest assured your future husband will enjoy that too!

My dear Bridal Lingeristas, have a wonderful wedding and Celebrate Your Inner Eve!

Shapewear - For a Flattering, Fabulous Body

Every woman wants to look great under their clothes. But sometimes, you just notice some lumps on your side or a bulge on your tummy. Or you probably see that your butt looks flat, or that your waistline isn't too much defined. You notice that the dress you want to wear doesn't flatter you at all.

What do you do?

Rather that going out to buy a new dress, why not get something that will make you look fabulous in anything you wear?

There is something that can do that, and it's called a shapewear. It's the secret of many women - including celebrities - for a slimmer, smoother silhouette. Wearing a shapewear under your clothes puts the curves in the right places and it keeps your body looking toned; it hides your flabs and flatters your best assets.

Shapewear is usually made of stretchable fabric which targets your problem areas while enabling you to feel comfortable throughout the day. Most shapewear have Lycra content that cinches the flabs while allowing you to breathe. While some shapewear may look constricting at first, you'll be surprised how comfortable it is to wear for the whole day.

There are many kinds of shapewear out there today. A lot of them target the common problem areas, such as the tummy and waist. Modern girdles and waist cinchers help sculpt these areas, making them appear smaller. Body shapers cover more parts of your body, from your bustline down to your hips and thighs. What they basically do is distribute the body fat to other parts of your body like your breasts - which makes it appear as though you had an instant lift - and hips.

Panty girdles concentrate on your lower tummy and butt area. Long leg panty girdles help tone your thighs, even to your legs. Control slips can tone your lower body under your skirts. And now, there are even camisoles that make you look slimmer - and you don't even have to cover it up with another garment, as you would usually do to your shapewear.

When buying shapewear, think about what areas you need to address first. Do you want to shape your waist and butt? Or should you buy one that goes down to your legs? What kind of control does my body need to get the curves I desire? Should I go with a body shaper that has shoulder straps, or the one that starts just below my bustline?

Different kinds of shapewear answer different body bulge issues. They can come in varying types of compression, from light to firm control. The key is to take note of your problem areas and the clothes that you are going to wear with it. So whether it's a pant suit for the day or a formal dress for a cocktail evening, make sure to wear a shapewear that can do wonders for you without making itself visible to others.

It's always nice to have a few pieces of shapewear in your lingerie drawer; it's almost like a fashion necessity. Now you won't have to battle the bulge. The right shapewear will do wonders for you, transforming you to a smooth, sexy vixen in no time - and you won't even have to keep buying a new dress everytime.

Choosing the Nightwear Lingerie and Intimate Apparels

Night wear has come a long way from plain and simple, designed for comfort and concealment to sexy and stylish seductive pieces meant to be shown and adds to mystery.

Night wear can be defined in a woman's wardrobe as comfortable pyjama, night dresses, peignoirs and negligees, night jackets to sexy lingerie.

Usually during cold and winter nights, one may opt for a silky or cotton pyjamas with its pretty, soft and light weight material, but during summer nights, one inevitably choose the dress.

The passion for intimate apparel has been understood to reflect the inner moods of a woman. Wearing the proper intimate apparel that tone the woman's mood can change the passion of a night. Lacy lingeries may add crisp to man's inhibition for his partner. A thin nightdress can cover beautifully the skin at the same time bold colors intimate apparel may shine under it. Or simple gowns and wrap may leave somebody wondering.

Wearing lingerie adds to the flair of the bedroom. It makes a woman look sexy and feels sexy. Lingerie also boost the confidence of a woman, especially when it highlights her assets and perfectly portrays the inner self she wish to express.

However, choosing a lingerie from a shop may not be that easy. It may look beautifully and mystifying at the display section but may not suit the body features, at best, one can choose lingerie or a night dress through two phrases: highlight the assets and gives comfort. These two cannot be separated. A sexy and nice looking lingerie at the body will lose its magic when hidden under the blanket (if you shy wearing it.)

If a woman has long flawless legs, one may opt to wear short silky night dress to highlight the legs. Or maybe if the woman have ample breast to show up, it would be best to wear a lingerie or nightdress with V neck and highlights the bust, thereby showing the cleavage and makes the woman alluring.

The art of wearing nightwear be it dress, pyjama or lingerie can vary and may differ from what and how a woman feels for the time she wears it. It can be match and mix from color to texture type and feature what fits the woman not only physically but the inner self and how a woman feels about herself.

Nurse Lingerie Makes Your Fantasies Come True

Nurse lingerie and all the other types of costumes, such as schoolgirls, are a great way to spice up a comfortable relationship or add excitement to a new one. Role playing was a popular activity for those who have always felt more daring or adventurous. However, there are some out there who still have a few reservations. Luckily, buying your fantasy lingerie has become easier and more discreet with online buying and tasteful packaging. Only you and your partner will ever know you were the naughty nurse last night.

Role playing by taking advantage of fantasy uniforms is a great way to decrease inhibitions and have fun with sex. This is true regardless of where in the relationship spectrum you currently lie. There is no rule that says nurse lingerie can only be used when your sex life becomes stale and needs a boost. There is also no rule that says sexy air hostess costumes are only for the young and carefree. Everyone and anyone can benefit from a personal, erotic show between the sheets.

If you are just starting to get to know the significant other in your life, it is not uncommon for feelings of embarrassment or fear to be associated with the lovemaking aspect of the relationship. This is only natural, since trust may be an issue and you may feel uncomfortable about how your body is perceived. Nurse lingerie and other fantasy uniforms are a great way to break down some of these barriers. By opening up and sharing what turns you on the most - if he wants to seduce a sexy secretary and you want to bare it all as an upstairs maid - you are making connections above and beyond the physical side of the relationship.

At the same time, fantasy lingerie is great for the opposite ends of the spectrum: temporary sexual relationships and decades-long marriages. Both of these types of relationships are in equal positions to benefit from a transformation from nice woman to naughty nurse. On the one hand, casual relationships are often a great place to "try out" a sexual side you may not otherwise explore - in this case, role playing through seductive costumes. The fear of facing your partner the next day might be diminished if you know there is no permanent relationship that will be forming in the future. On the other hand, long-term relationships often need a bit of a sexual boost after the heady feeling of new love and lust start to fade. Adding spice to your relationship with an erotic, visual show can be a great way to rekindle an old flame and remember how much fun it is to be in bed together.

Regardless of where you are in your relationship, fantasy lingerie can be an exciting addition. With so many costumes to choose from - ranging from the naughty nurse to the sweet schoolgirl - you can definitely find something that you'll both find fun. Whatever you choose, sexy costumes can open new and exciting doors for you and your partner.

Sexy Panties Come in All Different Shapes and Sizes For Everyone's Body

There are so many choices for sexy panties these days that it's kind of crazy. Long gone are the days when our only option was the cotton "granny panties." Now we can pick the style of our panties based on our outfits, our comfort levels, and even our moods. Colours, cuts, fabrics... there's really no limit anymore.

The ability to shop online has also increased our options when it comes to sexy panties and other lingerie. There are literally thousands of styles available on the Internet, and the ability to browse through them from the comfort of our own homes makes everything that much easier. Of course, narrowing down the choices to pick a favourite pair can be pretty tricky.

Women's underwear basically breaks down into three main categories:

Briefs - When you picture the typical pair of women's underwear, you are most likely picturing a pair of briefs. These are cut like the bottom of swimsuits. In fact, many briefs are considered to be bikinis, just like swimsuits are. There are a few choices to be made when we purchase briefs, though, including the cut on the thigh and the rise. Low-rise briefs ride below your belly button and can be really sexy panties.

Boy Shorts - Boy shorts are another form of briefs. They are cut much longer on the thigh and end up being very short shorts. They are generally quite form fitting and extremely short, so you wouldn't confuse these sexy panties with an actual pair of shorts. Often times they are trimmed with lace and made with really cute colours and fabric patterns.

Thongs and G-Strings - The terms "thong" and "g-string" are often used to refer to the same thing, although there is a slight difference. Both types of sexy panties consist of a patch of cloth that covers the front and a narrow strip of fabric that sits between the buttocks. The strip is generally narrower on a g-string than it is on a thong. Many women like thongs because they tend to show less of a pantie line than briefs. Because the buttocks are exposed, many people find them to be very sexy, too.

Sexy panties are not only fun to buy, but they also serve a purpose. They can make you feel sexy and special even when nobody else sees them. Thongs are sexy and you'll never see underwear lines. They also come in a variety of colours and patterns. Boy shorts are fun and flirty and they make you feel young and free. So many sexy panties, so little time! Whatever you choose, though, feeling pretty is the main goal.

Product Review - Squeem Rubber High Back Waist Cincher

Created by a Latin American company, The Squeem Rubber High Back Waist Cincher is classified as a firm control shapewear. It has a rubber exterior but with a cotton layer inside that offers effective body compression while being comfortable to the skin. The Squeem Rubber Waist Cincher is made to take away inches from your waist and tummy, and it's not just an instant effect - it's a permanent effect because the rubber content of this shapewear helps your body release sweat while massaging certain body areas with regular use.

The Squeem Rubber Waist Cincher has boning at the front to prevent the garment from rolling up and also to help straighten your posture. Completing the vest-like waist cincher are the adjustable shoulder straps.

The Upside: Once you wear the Squeem Rubber Waist Cincher, you will instantly see some results. Due to its firm compression, this item tucks away the flabs from your tummy and waistline. The Squeem Waist Cincher also distributes the fat in your body; in effect you can get an instant lift in the breast and at the butt.

Unlike some girdles, this waist cincher causes you to perspire and thus helping you get some fluids and body fats out of your system. By using the Squeem for a recommended time of 8 to 10 hours a day, you will definitely see some results. Even new moms who had just given birth and want to regain their old figure can wear this shapewear, as long as the doctor would allow it.

This Squeem shapewear is made seamless, so it doesn't show through much of your clothes. The front hook and eye closure helps you wear the waist cincher without much difficulty of straining your arm muscles. And because it feels a bit stiff with its boning and rubber material, the waist cincher helps you stand and sit up straight while supporting your back. The cotton inside, on the other hand, adds to the feeling of comfort. It also helps absorb the sweat you get from constantly wearing it during the day.

Note that while the garment may seem stiff, you can still breathe in it because of its stretchy material.

The Downside: For one thing, this model of the Squeem Rubber Waist Cincher has fairly thick shoulder straps. Wearing this with a spaghetti-strapped tank top is, of course, not an option. Or wearing it under a bateau neckline, unless of course you want it to be seen.

If you're pretty petite in stature, you might find this waist cincher to be a bit long, causing some discomfort when sitting down as the edges of the boning rest on your thighs. And when wearing it for the first time, you might need a little help in closing the hooks.

The Verdict: The Squeem Rubber Waist Cincher can be considered one of the best products that effectively delivers results. In an instant, its firm yet comfortable compression already gives a slimming effect, thereby making you look toned and sexy. With regular use, you can slowly see your waistline trimming down. Just be ready to spend for another Squeem Waist Cincher that comes in a smaller size because for sure you will need it after a while if you want to maintain that figure.

Variations in Corset Design Throughout History

The corset is a favourite among many different types of people, from Goths to Emo kids and fans of Jane Austin books to burlesque dancers. The corset is back and it is here to stay but if you've looked into getting one you will find there are many different styles so here are a few pointers.

There are two main styles of corset the under bust and the over bust. Over bust corsets extend over the woman's breasts from the armpits and down to the hips, there by enclosing the torso. An underbust corset on the other hand begins at the bust and then extends down to the hips. Both of these styles have been used and modified throughout history to create different types of look.

Tudor and Elizabethan corsets were the first around. These lace up at the back and push up the bust therefore giving a small waist. These are likely to be very uncomfortable around the armpits and the bust.

Wasp-waist corsets, also known as waspies, were around during Victorian times. These underbust corsets got their name due to the shape they give a woman's body. These corsets pull in sharply at the waist to give a slim look as well as pushing the bust upwards.

Later Victorian corsets were a bit more forgiving. They were similar to the wasp-waist corsets but with a gentler curve. This style reach down lower than others to cover the hips. More support is given all over and this style of corset gives the hips and the lower body more of a swaying effect.

Edwardian corsets known, as the S curve are a type of underbust corset that is long at the front which causes the bust to be pushed forward while the bottom is pushed out behind giving an S curve shape.

Another type of corset is known as a waist cincher. Waist cinchers are like small corsets that focus on the waist and they extend from the ribs down to the hips. Waist cinchers have a slimming effect and are a good alternative to garter belts and girdles and can be attached to stockings.

Style Or Comfort

Lingerie comes in many colours as well as styles. Most women have drawers full of the stuff. Everything from loose fitting comfortable knickers, to old bra's that you wouldn't wear for a visit to the opera, but might easily be worn for a trip to the park with the dogs, Choosing what to wear when lounging around the house on a day off is probably a lot easier than deciding what to wear on a hot date, or a business meeting. The old comfortable knickers, are fine for wearing whilst painting the bedroom ceiling, or clearing out the attic. An old bra is great when you want to weed the garden, wash the kitchen floor, or the car. When you are at the gym a good sports bra is essential and you wouldn't want to be wearing a g string that cuts like cheese wire for that sort of exercise. Badly fitted bra's can and will cause discomfort, even when it's wearer is doing very little. So care should be taken when you measure up for a new one. Measure UNDER, the bust, Under the arms, and across the bust itself to get a true strap and cup size. Over 70% of women wear badly fitting bra's, a little more care in the measuring could see those red, pinch marks disappear for good.

For a really hot date, there is a wide variety of lingerie available, and a thong, while not right for all occasions, can be hidden nicely under a tight dress. A plunge Bra will keep the lads on their toes, literally. For that romantic night in, a candlelit meal, with soft music and good wine. an even sexier feel might be required. Basques and corsets are available which Will not only hold you in place but will drive him wild in the process. For Bedtime try a Cami top, French knickers, or a pair of satin pajamas, Is he still with you? then how about a lacy baby doll, or a shorty nightie covered by a long loose, tie front robe.

Lingerie can be functional and beautiful. it all depends on the setting and the mood.

Sensual Lingerie Parties - Wild Nights With the Girls

Sensual & exotic lingerie can be one of woman's best friends. When wearing a fine lingerie set, she feels desirable, sexy and empowered. The fact that she feels so great about herself makes her even sexier to those who are lucky enough to see her strutting around her gorgeous outfit.

But unfortunately, most women can't seem to find the time & energy to shop for sensual lingerie, nor do they incorporate this great habit in their lifestyle.

Some women, a bit too embarrassed to shop at their local lingerie store may prefer online shopping, directly from the comfort of their home. Not only do they have a broader selection to choose from, it is usually more cost & time effective than when shopping at a local specialty store.

The most pleasurable lingerie shopping experience remains the lingerie party: enjoying a fun night out with your girlfriends, spiced up by naughty games, door prizes and new sensual lingerie outfits available to all. You can even find lingerie companies who will have a representative take charge during the night of the event and provide your guests with a variety of fantasy & exotic lingerie items available for sale, and catalogs they can order from.

These sensual lingerie parties are pretty straight forward, and tons of fun. The hostess simply has to send the invites to her girlfriends and everyone is asked to bring along finger food and drinks. Once everyone has arrived and is comfortable, the lingerie company rep gets everyone to participate in sexy or naughty games. Because each audience (friends, family, colleagues) have a different comfort level when it comes to their intimate life, the rep usually provides the guests with a variety of games to choose from. These games will definitely get the girls even closer than they were before, and you'll be surprised by the things you'll learn about them!

Door prizes also tend to be a highlight of these sexy nights. Depending on your budget and preferences, these can vary from lingerie sets, furry handcuffs, sensual massage oil, Kama Sutra products, tickling feathers or simply funny items your guests may enjoy. This can be decided upon with the lingerie company during the planning phase.

Sensual lingerie parties can be organized for bachelorette parties, bridal showers, birthday parties, or simply as an excuse to get together with the girls and do some lingerie shopping. Your man won't oppose to this as he knows he will also be reaping the reward when you'll get home.

Chemises - Popular Sexy Lingerie For a Very Good Reason

Chemises are adorable pieces of lingerie that have a very long history. What today might be considered a piece of naughty lingerie used to simply be a utilitarian garment. While chemises were originally used to keep outer clothes from getting dirty, our modern usage of this piece of clothing has more to do with getting "dirty" in the bedroom!

Chemises have also been called "shifts" and "smocks" and have undergone quite a transformation in the centuries they've been around. They date all the way back to the Middle Ages, in fact, when they were worn underneath regular outer clothing. At the time, clothing was not washed as regularly as it is today, and chemises were worn next to the skin to protect clothes from sweat and body oils. The idea is similar to that of a modern man's white t-shirt. In those times, however, the chemises would be washed often, but the outer garments would not.

Modern chemises probably have more in common with a camisole or a teddy than they do with a t-shirt, though. They are generally about thigh-length and have straps rather than sleeves. It's true that they can still be worn as under garments. In fact, they make great slips for short dresses. Current fashion has even brought the chemise to the outside, as silky, short, strappy dresses have become quite popular.

The most popular use of the chemise is for lingerie, but there are so many styles and types of chemises. From lacy peek-a-boo to silk and lace, it's all about your mood and the atmosphere you are setting. Wearing a silk chemise can make you feel sexy and also keep your partner turned on.

Chemises have a lot in common with lingerie known as "baby doll" style. Like these little dress-type outfits, chemises tend to hug the skin along the bust line and waist and then flare out a bit at the hips. For this reason, they look good on pretty much every body type, too, which is a real bonus for women who are new to shopping for lingerie. While one can think of chemises as being "naughty lingerie," there is something of an air of romance to them. This is another reason they can be a great choice for someone who is new to lingerie. They tend to be a bit more modest than a bustier, teddy, or corset, so there's less nervousness for the woman who is simply trying to look pretty for a special night in.

Chemises are a wonderful gift to give. They are forgiving in the size department because they are more relaxed in the bust area. Fortunately, they're not as tight as other lingerie pieces. Trying to find the right piece of lingerie for your loved one can be easy and comfortable as long as you know what size she is and what she likes. You'll have just as much fun buying it as she will when receiving it.

Summer Underwear Essentials - What You Need to Look Hot This Season

It's the season to look your best again. Summer is always a time where women shed off those jackets and coats and slip into something airy and comfy, not to mention sexy. It's also the time where a lot of great things are going on: parties, beach events and more. And this means that you should look and feel at your best - beginning with your underwear.

Yes girls, what you wear underneath will reflect your sassiness. So to make sure you don't commit a fashion faux pas this season, here are some things that you should have this summer.

- T-shirt bra. It's actually a year-round essential. But it is during the summer where wearing t-shirts is at its peak. T-shirts keep you cool even with the hot weather. And underneath it, you'd want to make sure that you won't be showing more that what you should.

A t-shirt bra makes sure of that. With its seamless cups, the t-shirt bra will assure you of no visible lines even under the thinnest fabrics. It also gives your breasts great support, keeping you comfortable however you move all day. What's more t-shirt bras come in a variety of colors to choose from. So whatever color of your shirt - or mood - there's a t-shirt bra that matches you.

- Padded panties. Care for some "oomph" under your jeans or skirts this summer? If you have that "flat bottoms" problem, a padded panty is one thing you should have. Aside from giving your butt an instant lift, you also gain a whole lot of confidence as you sashay down the street in your skinny jeans or body-hugging dresses.

- Bikini top inserts. They're just like the chicken fillet inserts you put inside your everyday bra, only they're made for your swimwear. You might think, "why would I need these?" Well, it's the same principle as wearing those chicken cutlet inserts: if you're not-so-confident about your breast size in your swimsuit, this is the instant solution! These swimwear push-ups will bring you up to a cup size bigger in a jiffy. And because they're waterproof, you won't have to worry about these bra inserts getting wet and ruined.

- Underarm dress shields. These are little adhesive guards that you stick on the inside of your shirt's armholes. What these handy accessories do is absorb the sweat that accumulates under your arms. With these dress shields, you can be sure that you won't experience the embarrassment of walking around town with wet underarms.

Now that you know what to have this summer, you're ready to go out and enjoy every minute of the season. Looking good for the summer isn't just about vanity; it's also about gaining the confidence to flaunt your assets and feeling great about your body.

Make the Most of Your Time Together With Erotic Lingerie

Wearing erotic, naughty lingerie can turn a normal evening into a memorable and exciting night. There are many options for you. From sexy tight leather to anything that your fantasies may entail, wearing erotic naughty lingerie is a fun open up new doors and free you from your sense of self. It can also bring a feeling of newness between the sheets. Whether it's to brighten a dulling relationship or enhance your lives, go into this new experience with an open mind and an adventurous attitude.

Don't be afraid. When you reach the point where you're ready to put on some leather lingerie, wield a whip, and get downright erotic, leave your inhibitions at the door. Allowing yourself to be nervous or anxious about your decision will only make you feel self-conscious, and you are more likely to put up emotional and physical barriers. Trust yourself, trust your partner, and plan to have fun.

Be adventurous. When you have the perfect erotic naughty lingerie ensemble and your partner is someone you can trust, it's time to open up and have fun. Let yourself go and be willing to try something different. If you're both open to suggestions, there's no telling where the evening might go.

Role play. Erotic naughty lingerie is ideal for creating a persona or scenario other than those that appear in your customary horizontal mambo. Although you might feel apprehensive at first, especially if this is your first time role-playing, it can be extremely rewarding when both partners enter into the spirit of things full-force and with gusto.

Accessorize. Although your tight leather bustier is a great first step in bedroom play, it's the accessories that really make the outfit. Complement a dark, gothic look with a riding crop and top hat. Pair your erotic garter belt with stiletto heels and heavy makeup. If you keep these kinds of toys and props nearby, you'll be able to incorporate them into your role playing as the need or desire arises.

Mix it up. There is no rule that says you can't reuse your lingerie once it's already been worn, but variety is still the spice of life. Sheer Lingerie For Sexy Nights!

If your love life has gotten a little mundane and drab, why not spice it up with some new sheer lingerie? Sexy lingerie can add a little spark and interest into what has become ordinary. Let your humorous self come through with fantasy styles of trashy lingerie, where you can choose to wear clothing that shows a totally different side of you.

Full-figured women will not be disappointed with the wide selection of sheer lingerie available that is designed to flatter buxom women. Plus size lingerie comes in every popular style, so you and your partner will find all of the camisoles, teddies, peignoirs, negligees, tap pants and mini dresses styled to set off your bends and curves. Use plus size lingerie to heat up your romantic side!

You can find a wide variety of styles of revealing lingerie so that you never have to wear the same style twice. One night it could be a baby doll night gown or chemise, the next it could be a corset. Camisoles are a popular choice, as are flamboyant trashy lingerie such as peek-a-boo bras and bustiers, which can be worn any night of the week. Weekends call for something special. You might select sexy lingerie like body stockings to accentuate your entire figure.

Trashy lingerie is not just reserved for the bedroom. Some revealing lingerie styles can be worn out to dance clubs. You can dance the night away in a halter top short dress or a mini skirt that might be classified as lingerie yet can also double as club wear. Accentuate those short hemlines with thigh-high hosiery and high heels to set the look off to best effect.

One classic style of sheer lingerie is the teddy. Teddies come in a wide variety of styles, such as deep V-neck or halter styles, and are decorated in a plethora of ways, including floral embroidery, rings, lace, satin and keyholes. For the adventurous, open bust teddies are available. Some teddies can be worn on their own, or you could wear them under a jacket or blouse for a sexy glimpse of lace under your clothing.

Lingerie comes in several different types of fabric. Bras are typically made using form-fitting Lycra stretch fabric. Other articles of lingerie could be fashioned from silk, satin, lace, even leather or vinyl. Leather and vinyl catsuits, dresses, skirts, corsets, bustiers, bras, teddies, pants and shorts will make you feel sexy and will be a definite visual turn-on for your partner. Lace, satin and silk all add a feminine allure to undergarments, and feel wonderful next to the skin. Sheer lingerie can even be worn under your work attire to give you a sexy feeling all day long.

Full-Figure Gals - Our Day Has Finally Come!

Certain lingerie, as we all know, is made sheer and sexy. When women wear it, they want to be flirtatious and desirable. Because intimate apparel is so dainty, it gets attention. But what is a full size gal to do? I'm here to tell you - intimate apparel can get noticed! I am a full size woman - and if I were to wear a new or different bra, my husband would certainly notice! Women with large breasts can find bras and romantic lingerie with ease these days. The large cup sizes are no longer special order items in most shops and boutiques. Some of the local department and lingerie stores carry plus size. Plus size women have a much better selection in fashion clothing than ever before.

You may not realize it, but plus size women have had a powerful influence on the fashion world. Reams of books and articles are written to help the plus size woman grab the attention of males. Magazines typically urge women to flirt shamelessly. Flirting is a great way to let somebody know you find them attractive. It can lead to friendship or romance.

Plus size women have to wear clothing that makes them look attractive and sexy. There are bras that minimize her size. There are full body shapers that boast of reducing the body size by inches. The full figure women's undergarments have to fit so that she is comfortable in whatever she wears. Beautiful plus size lingerie can give the plus size women confidence. Plus size women can look very romantic in Peignoir sets. Elegant flowing lingerie in light fabrics such as chiffon and exotic lace is very stylish and is usually available in plus size. Yes, the plus size woman is no longer held to the simple nightgowns and pajama selections of the past! Naughty lingerie is available in plus size and it makes her look sensuous and lustful.

Remember, guys, that a plus size women craves attention too, just like anyone else. It gives her a warm glow to know that someone is interested. Most dating experts advise that the secret to attracting the opposite sex is to flirt. Smiling, eye contact and the perfect opening lines will get a man's attention. There is a popular motivational DVD that is sold in lingerie stores for full figure or plus size women. The DVD is about how the full figured or plus size women have to see their true beauty, accomplishments and value. In most movies, you see beauty depicted as gorgeous, slim and trim women. Plus size women have been somewhat conditioned to believe that they don't match up to the women who are small in size. Several years ago, the plus size women made strides in changing society's views about plus size women. The fashion industry is making garment choices available today, especially lingerie for plus size women. She has a much greater choice today. In her size, she can find not only sleep shirts and pajamas but she can choose from sexy garters and corsets. She can flaunt her beauty in a thong or g-string. In plus size lingerie, she can feel pretty and look pretty as well. A plus size woman wants to make sure that her "assets" are lifted up with a good fitting bra.

Another problem that larger women sometimes have is protruding nipples. In lingerie departments and stores you can find accessories such as petals for the nipples. Petals can cover protruding nipples without latex and adhesives that some women may be allergic to. When women want to push up her breasts, she can use gel inserts. They are placed in the bra under the breast and they push the breast up to look sexier.

It is not just the plus size women that are looking for comfort in lingerie, the average body size women wants comfort too. For example, there is the discomfort that comes with straps that dig into the shoulders. I have seen, but I have not yet tried, the pads that can be used to as a cushion under the shoulder straps. One of the major complaints about these strapless bras is that they are not that comfortable. I have found that strapless bras that have the right fit are actually very comfortable. But, how can a woman get a custom fit that determines her true bra size? I got my first custom fit from a lingerie shop. The staff at lingerie shops are trained how to do a custom fit. Before getting a custom fit, I was wearing DDD cup bras. I did have some problems with bulging over the top of the cup. After getting a custom fit, I measured an F cup and they are not easy to find, and when I do find an F cup bra, I am prepared to pay at least $35.00 for one. A bra with a good custom fit can add to the smoothness of how clothes will fit. You can look good and feel good with a custom fit bra.

Rejoice, full figure gals - this is our day (at last)!

10 Signs You Need a New Bra!

If you're like most women, you dread the day you have to go bra shopping. Women have mental lists of reasons why to not shop for bras: they're expensive, they don't like to shop for themselves, and they don't have the time or the patience to try on every bra in the store, or just can't find the right fit! Frustrating? There's no avoiding it-sometimes you need to buy a new bra-and that doesn't mean when the wires are poking you through the fabric! Knowing when to get a new bra is essential to helping you keep bras that are comfortable and shapely. Here are a few reasons you may be in need of a new bra-now.

1. If Last Summer was the last time you bought a bra. Bra shopping can be expensive. It can be easy to spend $50, $75, or even $100 on a bra, but there are plenty of bras for under $30 as well! Think of it this way, if you can spend that money on a mani/pedi or a couple of movie tickets, you can definitely spend it on a bra!

2. A Special Occasion. Do you have a wedding coming up? A 'formal' dance maybe? There are certain occasions you may need to wear a strapless or 'convertible' bra-essential to every woman's wardrobe!

3. Great News! You're Pregnant! You may not need a maternity bra just yet, but expect to grow a couple of sizes during your pregnancy. Even women with small breasts will eventually need a bra with underwire for support during pregnancy. Taking care of your breasts during pregnancy and nursing, with good bras, can minimize post-baby sagging. Look to brands such as Bali, Playtex, and Calvin Klein for comfortable pregnancy/nursing bras.

4. Your bra just doesn't fit right. If your bra is stretched, the back strap rides up, you're constantly adjusting, or you're embarrassed to wear a tight-fitting shirt-you need a different bra. Be honest with yourself first-Do you wish you were a C cup, but are really a B cup? Or what if a DD is just too small for you? Your bra should support and shape you, without restricting you. Your bra should not be loose in any way when you stand up straight. Don't be ashamed to check out full-figured or plus-sized bras for the right fight. If you wear t-shirts often, a good seamless bra is essential. Again, stop stressing about your size! Get a bra that is going to be comfortable.

5. Your bra's best friend is your washing machine. Remember this-bras should be hand-washed. Most of us don't have the time, but in this case, do yourself and your bra a favor a get a lingerie bag! Bras that are machine-washed/dried need to be replaced much more often than ones that are gently hand-washed.

6. Underwire poking at your skin. The underwire in a bra should lay flat against your skin, underneath the breasts. If you feel the underwire poking through the fabric, you need a new bra! Find yourself adjusting the underwire back to its proper position throughout the day? It's time for a new bra.

7. Holes in your bra. If your bra is in any way torn, this is a sign it needs to be replaced. Think of it this way, a bra with holes in it can tear completely at any moment. What will you do then?

8. Your bra is not the same shape and does not have the same support as a new bra that is the same size. This is especially true for sports bras. If you hold up your existing bra to a new one of the same size and it does not look the same, you've worn it out! Champion or Adidas are good brands for sports bras.

9. You have gained or lost weight. Your breasts are made up of, mostly, fatty tissue, so when you gain or lose weight, it may make a significant change in their size-assuring you a new bra. Whenever you gain or lose 10 pounds, you should get fitted for a bra to ensure you are buying the right size for your body.

10. Ready for a New Look? You don't have to wait until your old bras are ripped and torn to get a new one! Have fun with it! If you usually wear plain cotton bras, try printed, sexy, lace bras for a quick pick-me-up. You may discover a whole new bra-world for yourself!

Bra shopping shouldn't be frustrating. If you happen to find a bra that fits you "like a glove" you may want to but a few in case they're discontinued! Have fun with your bra shopping, but remember, a good bra should be comfortable and should support you-it should not be a nuisance. Happy shopping!

3 Essential Bras For the Holidays

What are you wearing for your holiday?

Want to know a secret?

What you wear under your outfit makes or breaks your look.

With the right bra, even your basic tank top looks amazing. The wrong bra leaves obvious lines through a tight t-shirt which detracts from your look.

Some women with amazing breasts can get away braless but gravity eventually prevails. With time, breasts will sag if support is not given to them and droopy breasts aren't attractive.

Some women think that bras are only to protect ones modesty. For coverage, if you will.

In reality, bras are meant to support your breasts. To keep heavy breasts from drooping and to boost small breasts.

A good bra would support your breasts and hold them up so that gravity does not drag them down and weaken the skin around your breasts, or your natural bra. It would boost smaller breasts as it pushes your breasts together deepening your cleavage or giving you a cleavage if you don't already have one. It also pushes breasts upwards making them perkier and the ones for smaller cup sizes can even contain padding to give you extra volume.

1. The plunge bra

On a vacation, you might want to dress sexier at the resort, with tank tops and dresses with low necklines.

In this case, the 1st vacation bra to get would be the push up bra which pushes your breasts, from the north, east, south and west to the center for maximum cleavage and support.

2. T-shirt bras

When you wear a t-shirt, if the material is too thin or the t-shirt is tight, ridges form on your surface according to the lines of your bra. To avoid those unsightly lines, wear a t-shirt bra, or a seamless bra with a smooth surface. It might look plain vanilla on its own but under your t-shirt, you would look classier.

3. Strapless bras

Straps that show are not tasteful. With some tank tops, bra straps tend to peak out. With tube tops and strapless tops and even halter tops, your usual bras just won't work. Strapless bras or convertible bras with detachable straps allow you to support your breasts even when you wear such outfits.

So for your vacation, bring along plunge bras, t-shirt bras and strapless bras so you'll have support for your breasts no matter what outfit you wear.

The Bra Should Fit! - Five Tips

There she is again! The beautiful women with the perfect hair, the perfect dress for the occasion, and oh what perfect shoes she has! Her waistline even looks smooth... but then... Oh no! Not again... There she is with a bra two sizes too small. The result? Well, the fact that you can see the cups cutting into her isn't exactly flattering... And even worse -- the 'hang' under her arms and across her back from that tight bra strap!?! Once again, she's not very 'thick', but that bra makes her look 'larger' than she is!!!

If you were ever so fortunate to read part 1 of this series of articles, 'Underwear Matters', then you'll know we mainly focused on underwear, by definition, from the waist down. Well, as promised, here comes tip #2, and we're focusing on the waist up this time. And you got it... We're talking about the brassiere, the bra, the mighty breast enhancer, or whatever you might choose to call it... And luckily, the bra's came a long way since the idea was first patented by a New York socialite, Mary Phelps Jacobs, in 1913. She came up with the idea in 1913 by tying together two silk handkerchiefs with a pink ribbon (no kidding!) to go under a smooth dress she had bought because she didn't care for the look of her corset under it. Soon after, she sold her rights for the patent to Warner Brothers (the bra-company), and the rest was history...

So now that we have a little history and know who to thank for the invention of the bra, how do we go about choosing the right fit to flatter any size? After all, if we're going to put all the effort into looking perfect for any event, day or night, it's critical to remember the under clothes can make or break the outfit! With that being said, here are some simple pointers to live by:

Determine your cup size:

Believe it or not, many women, if not most, walk around with the wrong cup size. To find the right size, first measure around your rib cage right under your breasts (for those with larger breasts, you want to lift them and place the measuring tape directly under them). This will give you the under bust measurement. For your cup size, measure around the fullest part of your breast (the across bust measurement) and subtract this number from the under bust measurement. If you find that:

o The difference is 1 inch, you're an A cup,

o The difference is 2 inches, you're a B cup,

o The difference is 3 inches, you're a C cup, etc.

They also now make ½ sizes if you can't find a whole size to fit right!

Find the right 'fit' and comfort:

You might be asking, is comfort even possible? I'm pleased to say it is, but you must find the right fit, and it might take some trial and error. Here's what to look for:

o The bra band that goes across your back should be in line with the front. In other words, when you look in the mirror, it should not pull up towards your neck or between your shoulder blades. If it does, then it's not the right fit.

o The back strap should also be snug, but not to tight. If it's too tight, you're under arm and back skin will roll over, even if you're thin! WE WANT TO AVOID THIS! It's not flattering and can make you look larger than you are.

o The shoulder straps should be firm against your skin, but again, not too tight.

o If you already have some curves, then you may want to go with a fuller coverage bra to give you a smooth contour without any 'overhang' from the cups.

o If you are one who needs a little more help in the curve department, then opt for a comfortable push-up bra where the cups fit closely to the breasts. You want to avoid any gaps between the breast and the cup of the bra. This can be uncomfortable as well as unflattering under your clothing.

Find the right style for your outfit:

There are so many bra styles and options out there nowadays, you can find a bra to go under almost any style outfit; from smooth, to backless, to strapless, to halter, to racer back -- you name the style, and you'll be able to find a bra to serve the purpose (even in full coverage). For most of us, going braless is not an attractive option. In addition, unless you have the perfect outfit, showing straps can be unflattering, as well (you may opt for stylish straps if your straps must show). Find the style bra that's perfect for your outfit, and don't forget the 'fit' rules above (no overhang, not too tight, etc). Remember, we want flattery, not mockery or disaster!

Comfort versus style:

You no longer have to forgo style, lace, or sensual for comfort. There are so many brands and styles of bras out there that are cute, sensual, stylish and comfortable! So we beg you, wear the one that fits and allows you to express yourself for any occasion! Have some fun with it and see where it takes you... Any friendly, experienced sales associate would love to help you in your search, so just ask!

Built-in Bras:

Do they really work? Use your judgment, but in most cases, from our experience, if you're busty at all, 'built-in bra tops' do not provide much support. We recommend wearing a bra under the 'built-in-bra' tops if you choose to wear them for extra support. Sorry, but that's our thought on it! Remember, you can have comfort and attractiveness, so don't forgo one for the other!

Now you're set! As we said, it might take some trial and error on your part to find the perfect fit and style for you, but it's worth it in the end. You'll have a pulled together look after taking all aspects of your fabulous outfit into account -- including your underclothes! You go girl!

Mixing and Matching Bra and Top Colors

Have you ever seen a photo of a celebrity with one shirt strap falling off of their shoulder revealing a perfectly matched bra strap? These things don't happen by accident - it's all about planning.

Since good bras tend to be rather pricey, most of us cannot afford to have hundreds of them decorating our bureau shelves. Still, it never hurts to have a few basic bras to match those sexy outfits (you know, the sheer, tight, and silky ones?). Let's begin with basic black. Little black dress, perfect black pants, great fitting black top, and one extraordinary black bra - these are all essential elements of any woman's wardrobe.

Now, you can easily purchase a plain black bra, but that wouldn't be too much fun when you casually allow your shirt strap to slip, would it? Instead, look for that black bra that has a little something different on the strap. Whether its lace, beads, or other embellishments, find a bra that you feel good about wearing (even if nobody ever sees it).

Aside from the all-important black, it is also vital to have one taupe bra in your collection. While taupe may be slightly boring, it will be your best friend when you want to wear that slinky white top (go ahead, get caught in the rain - this color won't reveal anything!). Also pick up one pink (every girl has to have a touch of pink!); one blue; and one white bra. All of these bras will serve you well no matter what the occasion is - then again, there are those days that you just want to wear something slightly romantic, which is why one patterned bra is a must-have item.

While they may seem slightly impractical, those dainty bras covered with roses, lace, and pretty straps can be just the think that you are looking for if you happen to put on a summery top. Nothing says romance better than a loose fitting white top with a touch of feminine mystique underneath. Adding any, or all, of these bras to your wardrobe will guarantee that you can match any top to any bra with a style all your own. Sure, most of the time those lovely bras will never see the light of day, but when they do... you'll be happy that you decided to purchase bras that look as good as they feel.

Guide to Your First Bra

Buying your first bra is a rite of passage that every woman goes through. If you are at this stage in your life, you should be proud of this moment - it is one that you will cherish forever!

Now, before you head to your favourite lingerie shop, there are a few things that you should know about finding the right bra for your body type. First of all, you will have to get properly measured. There are two ways to go about this: you can have your mom, or your friend, measure you or you can simply head to a store where they do professional bra fittings. In most cases, you will probably find a better bra if you allow a professional to measure you.

Once you know your measurements, you will be faced with hundreds of bra options. This means taking the time to reflect upon each bra carefully - what do you want your first bra to do for you? Are you looking for a supportive bra? Maybe you need one that will help you through sports without causing any pain. For the most part, it is a good idea to have at least a few different types of bras in your wardrobe.

Those bras that are considered "light support" do not have any type of under wire, and they are perfect for smaller breast sizes. "Full support" bras often have some type of shape to them in the form of an under wire or plastic wire that runs through them. These bras tend to be best for those that have larger cup sizes. The last type of fashion bra, the "push up" is designed to push together the breasts for maximum cleavage. While push ups may give you the desired effect that you want to achieve, they can often be uncomfortable.

If you are going to play a lot of sports, make sure to get measured for a sports bra. Most women do not know this, but sports bra measurements are unlike fashion bra measurements - never wear a fashion bra in place of a sports bra, since it will not support you properly. The world of bras may seem like a confusing place, but once you get used to wearing them you will find that they really do make a difference. Remember to find out what your proper size is, buy the bra that works for you, and keep those sports bras separate from those fashion bras.

Avoid These Mistakes When Measuring For Bras

Want to lose ten pounds within a matter of minutes? Finding the right bra size can mean the difference between looking thin and looking boxy.

While the wrong bra size can make even the thinnest woman look frumpy, the right bra size can cinch your waist in no time. Since bras were meant to pick up that top half, if yours is not doing its job your breasts will blend into your stomach causing a square shape (who wants to look like a block?). Though many of us would love to pop into a bra shop, pick up the prettiest of the bunch, and head to the cash register, this is simply not realistic.

Have you ever noticed how different designers have dissimilar ideas when it comes to clothing size? Well, those that make bras tend to go by their own measurements as well. Even though you may be a size 32C when you enter a store, you may wind up coming home with a bra that is a 36C. In short, you really can't pay attention to what the label says, though you can learn to measure yourself properly prior to entering the store just to have some type of rough guideline.

To begin measuring yourself properly, wrap a measuring tape around the area where the bra band normally goes. While you are doing this, it is important to keep the tape flat and keep your arms down by your sides (you may need a little bit of help here). Once you have the right reading, round it to the nearest whole number. Some people will tell you to add two to three inches to this measurement, but this is simply not necessary. Instead, go with what you find the first time. Now, on to that cup size...

It is crucial that you get the cup size right, so it is best to do this type of measurement in the nude (if you place the measuring tape over your bra, you will be adding a bit of width). Place the tape around the fullest part of your breasts and round the measurement to the nearest whole number. Then, take that earlier band size and subtract it from the bust size. Those leftover inches will determine your bust size (1 inch is equivalent to an A cup; 2 inches to a B cup; 3 inches to a C cup...).

After you have gone through the measuring process, you can then head to those stores try on numerous bras. Remember, when it comes to bras you can't pay too much attention to that number on the tag - after all, we are all made differently.

What Do Professional Bra Consultants Do?

Are you constantly trying to find ways to make those straps stay up? Do you experience pain while you are being active? If so, a professional bra consultant can ease all of your troubles in a flash.

Other than applying a piece of duct tape to that annoying bra every day, the only way to ease your bra woes is to make an appointment with someone that does bras for a living. If you have never been to this type of expert before, you are really missing out. Did you know that nearly 80 percent of women are currently wearing the wrong bra size? Not only will the right bra allow you to go on with your life and forget about those constant adjustments, it will also help you to look a lot thinner (who doesn't want that?).

Finding the right bra size for your body can easily take away ten pounds from your appearance. While you can try and measure yourself at home, the best way to get an accurate measurement is to visit a store that employs bra consultants. These professionals really only take a few moments of your time, but they will measure you, find the right bras for you, and help you pick out the style that you like in your size. In short, every woman should visit with a bra consultant at least once.

In fact, since our bodies change as we age it is advisable that you visit with a bra specialist every few years (just to make sure that things haven't been shifted around too much). Surprisingly, many women feel intimidated when it comes to having their breast size measured professionally. If you are amongst these women, you should know that there is nothing to fear. Most bra consultants will measure your size right over the top of your existing bra - really, this process only takes a couple of minutes. The good news is that once you have been fitted for the right bra you will notice that your clothes fit much better.

While diet and exercise can only do so much, finding that perfect bra can really change your entire attitude. Imagine looking into the mirror and seeing a thinner, perkier, you - now that's worth a few uncomfortable moments in the dressing room, don't you think? Stop struggling with that old bra, find a shop that includes a professional bra consultant, and begin showing the world the new you.

Lingerie - Will You Love it Or Leave It?

Lingerie can be worn for two purposes:
    1) Lingerie can be specially designed for a function, such as the camisole which is worn under sheer garments, or the bustier which many women wear under their wedding dress.

    2) Lingerie can also be worn for show or sex appeal; this includes garments such as the sheer babydoll, lace bra and panty sets, etc.

Selecting the right lingerie must be done with care as believe it or not, it will help define your overall look. Choosing the right color and style will help you look slimmer and sexier. You should never choose to buy a pair of cheap underwear thinking that no one will see them anyway. Just knowing that you are wearing quality lingerie will up your confidence, making you feel good about yourself.

Choosing the right style of panties will depend on the type of clothes that you wear. In the event that you are wearing form fitting skirts or tight fitting dresses, you will want to wear thongs or g-strings to ensure that there are no visible panty lines. If you are wearing jeans or a sun dress, then a boy short is a good option.

Wearing the wrong bra size will create bulges that are a depressing sight. If you are blessed with large breasts, wear a bra that gives you proper support and that doesn't let the breasts sag or hang. You should also take note that push up bras shouldn't be worn if your breasts are larger, as these types of bras were made for small and medium sized breasts to give them a push and make them look fuller.

As for selecting the right panty hose, the color is dependent on your natural skin color as well as the shape and the size of your legs. Panty hose can provide a slimming effect, especially if you are wearing a dark color such as black, as it will make your legs appear slimmer and shapelier. Neutral colors should be worn when you don't want your legs to be an attention grabber.

If you are interested in purchasing lingerie that is made for everyday use, a bustier is your best option. It is a strapless bra that goes down to your waist. The bustier is mostly made out of shiny materials, such as silk, and it can be worn with all types of clothing, even with jeans. A bustier has a slimming effect that provides you with a very sexy look!

Lingerie can be daring or modest, depending on your mood and desires. It is extremely important that you know your size and that you are aware of which styles and colors look best on you, so that you can find the perfect lingerie outfit and feel your sexiest!

Caring For Lingerie

In years gone by, most women washed their lingerie with the weekly wash. Everything went into the machine, sheets towels, knickers, the lot. You needed to be careful that a stray red sock didn't get thrown in with whites, but apart from that it was a breeze.

Modern lingerie needs a little more TLC and here are a few tips to help you keep your expensive collection looking its sexy best for as long as possible.

Firstly, if you have the time and the inclination, you could hand wash your smalls, in cold water, using just a soda based fabric cleaner. For most women though, a busy lifestyle and a house full of kids and pets, means there is little time for such intimate care and machine washing is the only way.

Happily there are things you can do to safeguard you lingerie, while it is thrashing about in the machine.

Always use a cold wash cycle.

Fasten any clips or catches on bras and basques to stop them snagging on delicate material.

Buy a wash bag. They are very cheap these days and as they are made of a mesh like material, that will allow the garments to be cleaned whilst keeping them from snagging, or being stretched when in the machine.

After the wash never wring out your delicates, and never toss them into a dryer. Instead hang dry them, but not in full sun as this will fade the colour.

If you really have to use the dryer, make sure it is set to cool and again, place your items in a wash bag before putting them in the dryer.

Erotic Lingerie - A Tool For Seduction

Erotic lingerie is a popular tool that most women use to attract the people they like. Wearing it will make you sexier and more seductive. Men are normally lured into bed by women who wear this type of lingerie.

Bear in mind though that erotic lingerie doesn't need to be worn only in the bedroom. Its main purpose is not only to spice up your relationship in the bedroom, but erotic lingerie can actually be worn at anytime to enhance the body underneath your clothes, especially form fitting ones.

The Essential Lingerie Guide For Men

Buying underwear for the lady in their life is a scary proposition for most men. Getting married and saying 'I do' comes with about the same amount of fear as wandering round the lingerie section at your local department store trying to work out what a cup is, and what the difference between a demi bra and a triangle bra is. On the one hand there's the worry that you'll buy something that either will be the wrong size (will she be offended if you thought she was bigger, or smaller, than she is?) or that you'll buy something totally inappropriate, and of course the nagging worry that people will think you're merely staring as a result of some kind of strange fetish you happen to have.

The first thing to do when it comes to choosing lingerie for her is to start at home with what she already has. Have a hunt through her underwear drawer and find her favourite sets. Have a look at them and try to note down the sizes of both the bra and the knickers. Wherever possible it is best to spend a few extra pounds and get a set rather than just one or the other. Women seem to prefer matching sets, so just go with it.

Check out features of her favorites, such as colors and styles. Check if it is under wired or not. You can tell this because an under wired bra has a thick wire running through the lower seam under each cup. If the whole thing is flexible, then it isn't under wired.

When you reach the shop, don't be afraid to touch. Many men have an embarrassed look at the sizes and colours, grab the first one that seems right and make a rapid dash for the till. However, remember that this material is going to be worn close against sensitive areas of her body for a long time, (or as long as you let her of course!), so it needs to be comfortable. Is it soft and comfortable? Is it under wired, and if so, does that feel well padded?

One thing to bear in mind is that there is often a world of difference between what men like to imagine their lady wearing, and what women actually like wearing. When choosing underwear, try to aim more for a classic look rather than something more likely to be worn by someone on a dodgy adult video. Try to avoid unnecessary lace and frills, and see-through material is unlikely to be met with as much enthusiasm as you would like to pretend. Similarly, open crotch and things are not the wisest choice.

Something for the more adventurous male to try, and which is likely to be met with more enthusiasm, is to look at the alternatives to the traditional knickers and bra sets. Camisole sets, corsets and babydolls are all types of underwear which are classic, very romantic and effectively combine kickers and bra into one look. The same rules apply however, and you would be wise to avoid buying something more likely to make her look cheap than classy.

One final world of advice: always keep the receipt. If all else fails and it has to go back, why not take her with you and let her help you? It will make choosing underwear on your own in future a little easier, and she'll be only too happy to offer you advice and tell you her preferences.

What You Need to Know About Bra Shopping

Apparently, over seventy percent of all women are wearing the wrong bra size. This is a staggering statistic, and cannot be entirely down to inappropriate purchases by doting, yet inadequate, male partners. Many women have no real idea of their size, and often find that they buy a variety of different sizes, depending on the style of bra they are choosing.

What many people also fail to appreciate is that if you lose or gain about ten pounds, start or stop exercise, become pregnant or have a baby, your body shape will change and you will almost certainly need a new bra size or shape.

It is actually a very difficult process to measure oneself accurately, and this is where much of the problem comes from. Without an easy or recognizable way of measuring themselves, most women rely on a combination of rough guess work and experience based on the relative comfort of bras bought in the past. The most recommended course of action is to visit a specialist in a women's lingerie department who will be able to carry out an accurate measurement and make recommendations on size and cup.

Of course, there is then the increasingly wide choice of styles, and your selection of bra will depend on a number of factors such as what it will be worn with, the sort of activities you'll be carrying out, the length of time you'll be wearing it and your general size.

Most women agree that under wired bras offer the most every day support. For the men who aren't sure what this means, an under wired bra is one that has a curved length of stiff wire threaded through the lower seam of each bra cup. This helps to lift and support the breast, although it can lead to discomfort after a while, especially if the bra is cheap. Sometimes these wires can start to poke through, and this can be extremely uncomfortable. More expensive under wired bras are labelled as 'no poke' or 'comfort' and have extra padding around the wire to reduce the cutting in it can cause.

The natural alternative to these types, and a much more comfortable bra, is the wireless or soft cup bra. These don't have wires inserted, but instead have a foam or material hammock inside each cup which lifts and supports the breast. This is much more cushioned and along with foam padding provides comfort for longer periods, although it can be a little more expensive.

Of course, if you're planning on wearing an off the shoulder or low cut dress or top then a strapless bra will be required. These have wider and tighter straps running horizontally that mean that over the shoulder straps can be removed. Because of the extra tightness required, these can be uncomfortable over long periods of time, and are really intended much more for the glamour and style than the everyday ordinary comfort.

Another type used in fashion is the seamless bra. These are smooth and contoured with soft padding that removes visible edges so that under tight clothing such as t-shirts and tops, the outline of the bra material is not visible. Depending on the price you pay, these can be reasonably comfortable.

Plus Size Baby Doll Lingerie - How to Set the Mood

Wearing lingerie is the perfect way to start a night of sensuous and unforgettable romance. There are various styles of plus size lingerie that can make you feel like a goddess and fulfill your partner's fantasies!

Popular choices in plus size lingerie include bra sets, bustiers and corsets, teddies, camisoles, chemises, and babydolls, among others. These types of lingerie all come in different styles, so you're sure to find one that matches your personality and desires. If you're ready to be adventurous, you can find plus size lingerie that will completely transform you into a whole new person with unparalleled sexual prowess. Plus size babydoll lingerie, for one, has versatile styles and a wide array of fabrics and color choices that will allow you to feel and look your best.

The plus size babydoll reportedly got its name from the 1956 movie "Baby Doll", which had Carroll Baker playing the lead as a 19-year-old virgin. One scene in the movie had Baker dressed in a stylish nightgown that gained public attention and clamor. This nightgown then evolved into the popular babydoll that we all know and love today.

The plus size babydoll has a short hemline that exposes the legs and makes them appear longer. Many styles will also accentuate the chest area, with a seemingly unintentional cleavage-displaying neckline, so you're sure to feel sexy and in control. Since wearing lingerie can help amplify your sexual desires and abilities, wearing plus size babydoll lingerie will surely have you feeling like a good girl gone bad!

Once you have your plus size babydoll lingerie, you are ready to set the mood for your romantic evening. You may want to prepare a nice dinner, light some candles and have your favorite music on in the background. A bottle of wine and rose petals placed on the table also add a very romantic factor. It is up to you if you want to wear your babydoll lingerie to the table, or wait until later to change into it. Keep in mind that by wearing your lingerie to the table, your food may get cold!

Sheer Robes - Classy and Sexy

Lingerie is every woman's luxury. But few women actually indulge into buying good lingerie; rather it is for their husband's, boyfriends, or even for themselves. The fact is, wearing hot lingerie does make you feel really good and sexy. It might even change the way you look and feel about yourself, and the way you deal with your sensualities. Lingerie varies in style and fit, and its foremost mission is to make a woman feel pleasurable. One of the greatest accents to really good lingerie is a sexy robe!

In a particularly sensual movie scene, we usually see a sexy, beautiful actress donning a classy and striking sheer robe over some hot lingerie, with utter grace and pride. This has become a classic hot item in the must-have lingerie add-ons of many women today.

Robes come in many different shapes, designs, colors, styles and sizes that will surely suit every woman's personality and body shape. Though robes may not be included in the main list of lingerie types, they are regarded as a good enhancer to the most popular lingerie forms that most women love wearing today.

Robes can be made of various fabrics, such as silk, lace, satin, mesh, and may be added with certain ornaments such as sequins or fur. There are usually wonderful designs that may exceed one's imagination.

Sheer robes can be very exciting pieces of lingerie, indeed. They are a favorite among women who love to indulge in the feel of flowing mesh fabric on top of their most favorite lingerie sets, for men who will absolutely feast with desire for any woman wearing them, or for couples who devour it for their intimate fantasies.

You can wear sheer robes with conservative or revealing lingerie, such as the teddy. Teddies can be very exciting and thrilling to women, but of course, much more thrilling to men. They help reveal your shape, curves and assets, while they hide or enhance your less-contoured parts. To top a graceful teddy with a sheer flowing robe is one trick of the natured temptress. They help create that sense of enclosure to a woman's body while they entice at the same time.

Sheer translucent robes worn over bustiers are again another class act. The bustier, itself, is sexy, but a sheer robe just finishes it with the right touch of grace. Also with sexy babydoll lingerie, the robe creates a sense of temptation.

Of course robes that are mostly conservative or enclosed can be worn on top of any nightwear before bedtime, or when getting out of the shower in the mornings. There are a variety of robes that are made of silk or satin that are perfect for the woman who is neither too revealing nor naughty. These robes are made to be worn for practical uses, and not merely to enhance your seductive lingerie.

Robes can be worn for nightwear or naughty wear. Their many variations, from sheer to not too sheer, show the many personalities of the modern woman. Some women like it simple and elegant, while some of them like it flashy and naughty. No matter what your personality, a robe is always a good choice!

A Lady's Closest Friend - Lingerie

The lingerie has always been an exotic item. Over the time various types of lingerie items have evolved, available in a multitude of colors, sizes, designs and patterns. Fashion changes as the weather changes. So has the demand and styles of lingerie changed over the period of time.

Since the last decade, women have been spoilt for choice when it comes to purchasing lingerie. From average fitting and limited styled garments to a plethora of sizes and near perfect fits, the lingerie has come a long way. Today, lingerie is available for almost all body types and tastes. So much has been the metamorphosis in lingerie designing that it has become a fashion statement to some extent and women are not afraid to flaunt their latest catch.

Lingerie terminology is pretty simple and generally refers to the body part that an item is meant for. Some of the common forms of lingerie items are as under:-

Garter Belts - It is a piece of undergarment consisting of an elastic piece of clothing worn around the waist to which straps are attached that aid in holding up the stockings. Garter belts help in keeping the stockings in their place and prevent slip ups.

Negligee - The negligee is a type of night gown, usually worn to bed and usually consists of a single piece of cloth, falling down to the knees or below the knees. Modern day negligees are usually made of semi-transparent fabrics and tend to be trimmed with lace or other fine materials.

Panties - Panties are usually a single piece of cloth worn in the area below the waist. They consist of an elastic waistband to tie around the waist and a crotch to cover the area between the legs.

Babydolls - A babydoll is a type of negligee, often short, loose fitting and used as a sleepwear. Babydolls usually consist of manufactured cups attached to a loose fitting skirt.

Teddies - A teddy is an undergarment which is usually a set of camisole and a pair of panties. The camisole covers the top part of the body, whereas the panties cover the area below the waist.

Camisoles - A camisole is a ladies undergarment that covers the top part of the body, more specifically the area between the shoulders and the waist. It usually a sleeveless and tight fitting garment manufactured from silk, satin or many other fabrics.

Chemises - A chemise is very similar to a camisole, except for the fact that it is usually loose fitting.

Thongs - The thong is an undergarment, often used as a swimwear. A thing usually consists of a thin strip of fabric stitched along the center of the rear of the garment, designed to fit between the wearer's buttock cheeks, connected to a larger and flat piece of fabric to cover the front.

Different Lingerie Styles For Different Kinds of Women

When shopping for lingerie, we already know that getting the right fit is important. Lately we have been made aware that getting professionally measured for our bras can improve the way we look and feel. But it's important to have the underwear that not only flatters your figure but also matches your personality. Wearing the lingerie that complements both your fashion statement and your vibe will further make you feel better about yourself.

With the wide variety of lingerie styles, it's not that hard to figure out what item shows your character. Here are some examples:

If you're the casual type, you'd probably be wearing a t-shirt bra. Ladies like you would feel comfortable in just tees - and you're most likely to opt for bras with seamless cups that give you support and shaping underneath. And because you're matching your shirts with a cool pair of jeans, a low rise panty is a great complement.

For the laid-back lady, lingerie that offers ultimate comfort is a must. Soft cup bras are perfect for these relaxing moments. They still give the same support your breasts need but without any underwires sewn into the cups. Panties made of cotton also add to the comfortable feeling as you sit back and chill out during the day.

If you're the athletic woman, you'll need all the support you can get. Sports bras are a must in your wardrobe. Unlike other bras, sports bras are made specifically to support your active lifestyle. They control the bounce or the movement of your breasts so you won't experience tissue damage. What's more, most sports bras have moisture-wicking abilities so you stay comfortable even if you sweat it out.

Feeling sexy today? Match your hot outfit with a plunge bra that emphasizes your cleavage. Or wear a push up bra for maximum lift. A demi cup bra is also a good choice if you want to show more chest yet still look elegant. Wearing a skirt that hugs your body tight? How about some thongs or g-strings - they assure you of a no visible panty line look. Of course you can also wear some seamless panties that give the same no-VPL look. They may offer more coverage but let's admit it, hiding more skin often makes it more teasing.

But if you're not feeling that daring and would just want to be sugary sweet, a lace bra would be a great pick. It's not as revealing but still offers a feeling of daintiness. Match it with a pretty lace panty to complete the set.

Whatever your personality, you're sure to find a lingerie item or set that complements you. Lingerie manufacturers know that women have different preferences, qualities and moods. That's why they create a myriad of styles that showcase each woman's individuality. From petite to plus size, you're sure to find the underwear that reflects who you are.

5 Tips For Saving on Lingerie When Shopping Online

Are you getting the good deals when shopping for sexy lingerie online? When I shop for apparel online, I like to save money by making use of a few simple tips I'm going to share with you. And if you love to shop online, you can not only use these tips for your intimate apparel shopping, but also for any other shopping you do at the comfort of your computer.

First, when you find an online store you would like to shop from, go ahead and subscribe to the store's email list. Some online retail shops typically run regular specials that are only advertised to their email lists. When you subscribe to the email list, you just might find the item you've been looking at on the website has a special $5 or 10% off coupon. Or better yet, the coupon - which you probably wouldn't have found somewhere else - might apply to any item on the site. You have now just saved a few bucks just for being a subscriber of the store's email list!

The second tip is similar to the first one, and that is, subscribe to or visit the site's blog regularly. Again, many sites will have a blog that offers frequently updated information to its readers. Go ahead and checkout the blog and you may see entries related to coupon codes or specials that you can take advantage of when you're shopping on their store.

Another tip for saving some money when shopping for sexy intimate apparel online is to look for matching sets. Some lingerie stores sell lingerie without including the matching panty, thong, etc. Or they will show a top and bottom and not sell the entire outfit as one set. When looking at the sexy outfit that has caught your eye, ensure you will not need to purchase that extra accessory by looking at the item description.

Shipping can also add to the total amount of your order when shopping online. So (tip# 4) why not take advantage of the free shipping offers made available? Some stores will offer free shipping if your order is over a specified amount or even provide free shipping coupons and specials; which you may become aware of after following the first two tips.

Last but not least, no 'shopping tips' list is complete without suggesting comparison shopping. There is no shortage of comparison websites available. Some are more popular than others, but a quick search through a shopping comparison website might also end up saving you some cash when shopping online.

We all like to find the best deal when shopping online, especially when shopping for sexy lingerie. And by following these simple tips, you will be able to do just that. Happy lingerie shopping!
