Shapewear - For a Flattering, Fabulous Body

Every woman wants to look great under their clothes. But sometimes, you just notice some lumps on your side or a bulge on your tummy. Or you probably see that your butt looks flat, or that your waistline isn't too much defined. You notice that the dress you want to wear doesn't flatter you at all.

What do you do?

Rather that going out to buy a new dress, why not get something that will make you look fabulous in anything you wear?

There is something that can do that, and it's called a shapewear. It's the secret of many women - including celebrities - for a slimmer, smoother silhouette. Wearing a shapewear under your clothes puts the curves in the right places and it keeps your body looking toned; it hides your flabs and flatters your best assets.

Shapewear is usually made of stretchable fabric which targets your problem areas while enabling you to feel comfortable throughout the day. Most shapewear have Lycra content that cinches the flabs while allowing you to breathe. While some shapewear may look constricting at first, you'll be surprised how comfortable it is to wear for the whole day.

There are many kinds of shapewear out there today. A lot of them target the common problem areas, such as the tummy and waist. Modern girdles and waist cinchers help sculpt these areas, making them appear smaller. Body shapers cover more parts of your body, from your bustline down to your hips and thighs. What they basically do is distribute the body fat to other parts of your body like your breasts - which makes it appear as though you had an instant lift - and hips.

Panty girdles concentrate on your lower tummy and butt area. Long leg panty girdles help tone your thighs, even to your legs. Control slips can tone your lower body under your skirts. And now, there are even camisoles that make you look slimmer - and you don't even have to cover it up with another garment, as you would usually do to your shapewear.

When buying shapewear, think about what areas you need to address first. Do you want to shape your waist and butt? Or should you buy one that goes down to your legs? What kind of control does my body need to get the curves I desire? Should I go with a body shaper that has shoulder straps, or the one that starts just below my bustline?

Different kinds of shapewear answer different body bulge issues. They can come in varying types of compression, from light to firm control. The key is to take note of your problem areas and the clothes that you are going to wear with it. So whether it's a pant suit for the day or a formal dress for a cocktail evening, make sure to wear a shapewear that can do wonders for you without making itself visible to others.

It's always nice to have a few pieces of shapewear in your lingerie drawer; it's almost like a fashion necessity. Now you won't have to battle the bulge. The right shapewear will do wonders for you, transforming you to a smooth, sexy vixen in no time - and you won't even have to keep buying a new dress everytime.
